Welcome to Jaunmoku Palace Museum!
We offer visitors the opportunity to see the unique Art Nouveau interior of the Palace, the memorial room of the former Mayor of Riga and the first owner of the Palace, George Armitstead, as well as the unique tiled stove made at the beginning of the 20th century. On the second floor of the Palace, we invite you to get to know the wildlife of Latvia’s forests in an interactive way in the various expositions of the Forest Museum, and climb the approximately 20 m high Palace tower.
History and legend of the Palace
Jaunmoku Palace was built in 1901 as the Hunting Palace of George Armitstead, the Mayor of Riga, but the name of the place “Jaunmokas” was already first mentioned in documents in 1544
